The Wishing Spell - Chris Colfer, Brandon Dorman This book is promising in the first few chapters, with contrasting main protagonists who are twin brother sister; bookworm imaginary girl and realistic and cynical boy, both of them do their best in providing us conservative and more realist view of fairytale, which very interesting. However, after both of them stepped through a magical book to the fairytale land, everything I had look for turned out to be a disappointment.

As this book is catagorized as Adventure, it can't even make me feel anything adventurous from Alex and Conner's journey. Every difficulty they had to face solved so easy. Every mystery is easily to guess. It made this book dull and boring. They have a lot of supporter, too many. It's not challenging at all. Things that might redeem quality of this book maybe a fanciful description of fairyland and the tragic story of evil queen, which very insightful and reasonable.
